Free West Papua : Police Arrest Rambo Papua

After escaping from Abepura Prison, Jayapura City in 2016, a member of the Armed Kriminal Group (KKB) was eventually arrested by the Papua Police Criminal Investigation Directorate. KKB member Yogor Talenggen aka Yellow Card Talenggen Yoman was arrested at his house located in Kampung Usir, Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Saturday (12/5).

Head of Public Relations of Papua Police, Senior Commissioner Ahmad Mustofa Kamal revealed, Yogor Talenggen who holds as Rambo Papua is convicted case of a series of shootings against police and civilians with life sentence.

"YT has been tried before with a life sentence, but in January 2016 he became a DPO after escaping from prisons," he said. Arrest, he continued, stems from the information obtained by members that concerned in the District of Mulia and plans to go to Ilaga, Puncak Regency.

"Based on that information, direct leaders ordered to be arrested in a persuasive way," he said. However, Kamal continued, he was forced to be paralyzed by hot tin after trying to resist when he was arrested.

"Now that he has been flown to Bhayangkara Hospital for treatment, the members have seized a G2 Combat short-barrel weapon with five ammunition," he said.

Based on data obtained from Papua Police Public Relation, Yogor Talenggen fired on three members of Brimob in 2011, namely Bripda Eko, Riyanto and Gratitude. In the same year, there were members of Brimob who were killed by him. In 2012 he fired at the airport, then took the plunder of three firearms owned by Pirime Police.

In 2013, he shot members of TNI Bripka Hassan and shot police. Finally, in February 2018, he shot members of TNI named Sandi. Allegedly, one weapon that was seized by a TNI member, Sandi, was still under investigation by the police.
